During the Covid-19 pandemic, Hannah conducted a series of impactful, interactive online sessions that reached audiences across the UK and beyond. These workshops were specifically designed to engage invested groups, including parents, neurodivergent individuals (both formally diagnosed and self-identified), educators, lecturers, and inter-agency workers. Delivered via Zoom and featuring live Q&A segments, the sessions created a dynamic and accessible platform for learning and collaboration.
Hannah’s workshops focused on equipping participants with practical strategies and real-life examples for understanding and supporting neurodivergent individuals. A key emphasis was placed on recognising and celebrating the strengths, abilities, and unique needs of neurodivergent people. Hannah challenged deficit-based narratives by highlighting the immense potential of neurodivergent individuals when provided with the right environment and support.
Topics were tailored to the needs of diverse audiences and covered a wide range of relevant issues. These included:
-
Developing and implementing neuro-affirmative policies.
-
Supporting neurodivergent behaviours in compassionate and effective ways.
-
Creating inclusive environments that enable neurodivergent individuals to thrive.
-
Maximizing individual potential by recognising and building on their strengths.
Hannah’s approachable and affirming delivery style made these sessions highly engaging, and the live Q&A format ensured participants could directly address their concerns and curiosities. The content of each session was shaped by the varied questions from attendees, allowing Hannah to dive deep into specific challenges and opportunities. This personalised approach ensured participants left with actionable insights they could immediately apply to their work or personal lives.
The workshops welcomed individuals of all genders and neurodivergent experiences, creating an inclusive atmosphere where everyone felt heard and valued. Hannah’s ability to address intersectional perspectives, including how neurodivergence interacts with other aspects of identity, further enriched the sessions.
These workshops demonstrated Hannah’s exceptional skill in bridging theory with practice, empowering participants to create meaningful, lasting change. Organisations, schools, and community groups looking to foster inclusion, enhance understanding, and develop neuro-affirmative practices would benefit greatly from Hannah’s expertise. Her sessions offer more than just knowledge—they inspire a commitment to transforming environments and relationships for the better.
